More Birthday Celebrations!

Niah plays basketball with my son.  He's pretty much a powerhouse! :)  He's a polite, funny kid who turned 11 this weekend and his mom ordered a cake that was, of course, ALL about the sports Niah loves to play.   Happy 11th Birthday Niah!

The 2nd cake I did this weekend was for the 1st birthday of the niece of a friend of mine.  She sent me a message that Hayden's mom wanted Mickey's Clubhouse done 2D in buttercream, but could I "girl it up?"  Sure enough!  What the customer wants, the customer gets! :)

Cake is ageless!

Recently I had the privilege of doing two birthday cakes for the same day, but much different.  The first was for a sweet little girl, celebrating her first year of life!  Girly is what the cake order said. :)

And the second one was for a wonderful man, celebrating 60 years of life, surrounded by his wife, his family and friends!  White cake with chocolate icing and a banner plane....that was the order.  Couldn't get the whole plane on the cake and still write on the banner as requested, so the tail had to do.  His wife was pleased, as I'm guessing he probably was too.

Far from wimpy, but he's my kid!

11 year old boys are in a league all their own.  Life is all about sports, video games, rude noises, loud, louder and even LOUDER!  My favorite boy just turned 11 and this cake was HIS request.

And for those of you who aren't familiar with the "Wimpy Kid" books, here's the bookcover.

Brides & Grooms & Cakes, OH MY!

This was a special cake weekend.  Two different couples, who had dated in high school, went their separate ways, married other people, and had either divorced or been widowed, were reconnected and found love again....and I was honored to be a part of their special days through cake.  It's what The Sweet Life is all about. :)

Jeff & Dianna

David & Marcia

Oh how I love love. My prayer for you, Jeff & Dianna and David & Marcia is that you would live each day of your marriage with selflessness, sacrifice for the other and living as though each moment was your last.
Sweet Blessings sweet couples.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of rekindled love.
